Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone
This weekend I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended a seminar for professional and aspiring makeup artists. I love playing with makeup and have been wearing it since I was 13 years old. At times I have even done makeup on friends and models. However, I feel like I am a fish out of water with anything other than the basics.
As I was surfing Facebook the other day I came across a makeup seminar being offer by Jacqueline Chavez. Jacqueline lives in El Paso, Texas but works in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area. I have chatted with her before and love her work. So I took a leap of faith and signed up.
The seminar was held in the Adorn Salon on Central Avenue. It is a cute salon located on the second floor of the building. Jacqueline was a great instructor showing us different techniques and products to boost our skills. She even came around during the hands on portion to make sure we didn't have any questions and give us personal pointers. Would I take another class like this one? You bet! It was tons of fun and I learned so much yesterday. I left her seminar feeling confident with my techniques. Don't tell my husband I ran right to Ulta to buy some new items! Be sure to scroll through the images below and see what we did that afternoon. Oh and if you ever need an awesome makeup artist be sure get in touch with Jacqueline. You won't be disappointed!
