Model: Maya Mikayla Roybal
Maya came to me wanting to take some boudoir pictures at the Sandia Resort. She is a local model and I have worked with her before. I loved her ideas but suggested we take it a step further and do a styled bath bomb session with a bit of boudoir thrown in. I am so glad she agreed! We laughed and had such a great time on this session. I really love styling each session to an individual's personality and tastes.
Sometimes when I talk about boudoir, women give a scrunched up face and comments such as, "Oh no I just couldn't! I need to lose weight, tone up, don't have time, etc." I believe this reaction comes from the media and fashion magazines pushing this "perfect" body image. It is important for me to show just how beautiful each woman is through my photography. It is my goal for women to realize how feminine and sexy they are through these portraits. It is my belief that every woman deserves to take time out for herself and feel beautiful. For me there is nothing greater than for a women to see herself through my eyes and realize she is truly beautiful. Throughout the session it is my job to make you look your best through posing and lighting. What you do is just show up and have fun! Once you step in front of my camera I think you will find it so empowering and freeing to just be yourself as all those insecurities just fall away. To find out Maya's thoughts on her session read on...
"Working with Beautiful You Images has been the best experience in my modeling career. Finding a fantastic photographer, with endless creativity, and such an uplifting attitude is hard. Leigh is the perfect photographer and I would recommend collaborating with her any chance you get!"
We not only took images in the bath but in the bedroom as well. Be sure to click on the box above to see all three images. I love working with Maya and can't wait until our next session. I hope to work with you soon and show you how beautiful you are through your images.
I admit that boudoir and nudes are very intimidating but you have nothing to fear. I am a professional and would never ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with during your session. Boudoir is all about showing who you really are when all your insecurities and fears are stripped away. And that is the best part of my job.
