A deckhand offloading the catch at Don's Dock. Each fisherman that signs a contract with Gulf Wild agrees to a strict set of "Conservation Covenants"that go beyond federal regulations. Participating in a catch share program and having a camera on-board are just two of these requirements. The catch share program provides incentives in support of responsible harvesting of fish. They also must submit to random audit testing to ensure compliance.

TransparenSea is the web portion of the tagging program. Find the "Track Your Fish" feature on the Gulf Wild website. Then either scan the QR number or type it in to the block. There you can click through the tabs to see more information on the fish type, name and background of the captain, fish house and city where the seafood landed, and the 10 square mile area in the Gulf of Mexico where the fisherman caught your seafood.
